Meet the Author
Hi, I’m Channing White, an author, educator, and storyteller creating work rooted in identity, belonging, and legacy.
After 15 years in the classroom, my work continues to be rooted in literacy, learning, and creating meaningful experiences for children and families. With a master’s degree in education and a K-12 reading endorsement, I bring both my love of storytelling and my background in education to the stories and resources I create.
My debut children’s book, Sun Kissed Love, was inspired by my own family history and the legacy of both of my grandfathers.
Through Morgan’s story, I celebrate Black joy, family, belonging, and the importance of knowing who you are and where you come from.
I believe our stories are part of our legacy, and they deserve to be told.

There’s more to my story than what lands on the page.
I’m a mom of two, an educator, and someone who believes deeply in family, faith, joy, and leaving something meaningful behind.
Whether I’m writing a story, creating a resource, exploring somewhere new, or simply making memories with the people I love. I’m always drawn back to the same thing: connection.
That’s the thread running through everything I create.
